Bittersweet Symphony

Considering this is my last semester ever at Georgia Southern, it has been one that is completely bittersweet. The stress of an internship, part time job and classes was a lot for me to tackle, but it made me realize how much I really can do. The highs of this semester were the times I got off from work or school and was able to just chill and hang out with friends. The lows of this semester was the stress, the ridiculous amount of random work and when I realized I won’t be here anymore after two weeks. If I could go back, I would have done more of my homework on time and not have let the senioritis get to me. Also, I would have cherished my last few classes and not have worked on other things during them. I would try to spend more time with friends and build them up so that when I do leave, I know I have strong friendships that will not dissolve due to distance. I am still blown away by the offers I received for graduate assistant positions when I interviewed for them at the University of South Carolina. I am going there for grad school and I plan to get my Masters in Higher Education Student Affairs. I know a huge reason as to all of the offers I received was because of my education here and more specifically my public relations background. I am so sad that this chapter of my life is rapidly coming to a close, but I am so excited to see what the future has in store for me. I’m headed off to Columbia, where I will never truly be a Gamecock, because Eagles are the only birds for me. 🙂

I cannot believe we only have two weeks left! Sounds like it has been a busy semester for both of us, but I think it all has been worth it!

  2. That is so exciting you are going to graduate school! I wish I had applied to some graduate schools for the fall. I think it will be a great experience! Good luck!!

Hats off to you! Internship+part time job+upper level classes=nearly impossible. You will do great in grad school, congrats!
